Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Gombo handles personal data when visitors use the Gombo website and Gombo Tools.
Effective date: 2026-07
Introduction
This policy describes how Gombo handles personal data when you visit the Gombo website, use Gombo Tools, download templates, create draft business documents, or contact us.
Data controller
The service operator is the legal entity configured for Gombo. If no legal entity details are configured, the operator is displayed as Gombo. When a postal address or privacy email is configured, those details appear in the contact section. If no privacy email is configured, please use the Gombo website contact page. Gombo does not claim to have a data protection officer unless one is specifically appointed and published.
Data covered by this policy
This policy covers visitor and analytics information, technical and security information, information voluntarily entered into calculators or generators, uploaded files such as logos, signatures or stamps, and information sent through a contact form or direct communication.
Data entered into Gombo Tools
The current calculators and document generators run in the browser. Values entered into calculators, generated document information, and uploaded logos, signatures or stamps are processed locally for calculation, preview, PDF creation and sharing. Gombo does not intentionally receive or store that document content through Gombo Tools. Refreshing or closing the page may remove unsaved information. If you choose browser sharing or WhatsApp sharing, your browser or the selected third-party service handles the shared file or message.
Information collected automatically
Hosting, security and analytics systems may process technical information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type, browser, operating system, referring page, interaction events, IP-related technical information, timestamps, and error or security logs.
Google Analytics
Gombo Tools uses Google Analytics 4 only when analytics consent has been provided and production runtime checks allow analytics to load. GA4 may process usage and session statistics, approximate location, browser and device information, and interaction events. Gombo analytics events must not contain names, email addresses, telephone numbers, postal addresses, bank details, document numbers, invoice content, calculator inputs, calculator results, generated-document amounts or uploaded files.
Purposes and legal bases
Gombo processes information to provide requested tools and downloads, maintain website security, prevent abuse, respond to communications, measure site performance with consent, comply with legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims. Legal bases may include performance of a requested service, legitimate interests, consent for analytics, legal obligation, and legitimate interests in legal protection.
Service providers and recipients
Current integrations include Vercel-style website hosting and deployment infrastructure, Google Analytics 4 when consented, static template delivery, browser PDF/file generation, browser or WhatsApp sharing selected by the user, and the Gombo website contact channel. No Sentry, LogRocket, PostHog or Hotjar integration was found. Gombo does not sell personal information.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside your country or outside the European Economic Area. Where legally required, appropriate transfer mechanisms are used, but this policy does not claim a specific safeguard unless it has been confirmed.
Retention
Retention depends on the data category. Browser-local generator data may disappear when the page is refreshed, reset or closed. Analytics retention follows the configured GA4 property settings. Server, security and consent logs are kept for no longer than necessary for their purposes, subject to legal, security and dispute-resolution requirements. Contact communications are retained as needed to respond and maintain appropriate records.
User rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, receive portability, withdraw consent, and complain to a competent supervisory authority. Users in France may contact the CNIL; users elsewhere should contact their local authority where applicable.
Security
Gombo uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the service. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, so users should avoid entering unnecessary confidential information and should protect generated files after download.
Children
Gombo Tools is intended for business and professional use and is not intentionally directed at young children.
External links
Gombo Tools may link to third-party websites or services. Those services have their own privacy practices and terms.
Policy changes
If this Privacy Policy changes materially, Gombo will update the effective date and publish the revised policy.
